RW2012ECO Discussion starter · Jun 28, 2015. I popped a P0299 low boost code a few days ago and took it into the dealer the next day. My car is a 2012 Cruze ECO with 85K miles and only mod is K&N Air Filter in the stock intake. I had searched the forum and found it most likely a wastegate issue that would be covered under the powertrain warranty.The P0299 code on your Chevy Cruze is a diagnostic trouble code that indicates the existence of an underboost condition. If your car is dealing with a P0299 issue, the Check Engine Light on the dashboard will illuminate and possibly put your vehicle in Limp Mode.
